A study at the University of Karbala discusses the impact of cybersecurity on organization performance

A study in the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Karbala discussed “the impact of cybersecurity on the performance of the organization, while recommending a number of measures to be taken to improve the level of cybersecurity in the organization. The study submitted by the student (Rafid Abbas Hammoud) was titled (The Impact of Cybersecurity on Organization Performance – An Exploratory Study of the Opinions of a Sample of Employees at Earthlink Company). In his study, the researcher relied on cybersecurity as an independent variable with three dimensions (confidentiality, privacy, and enhancement) and the dependent variable on the performance of the organization, which was determined by two dimensions (efficiency and effectiveness).

And it concluded that there is a significant impact relationship of cybersecurity on the performance of the organization, and that cybersecurity explains a specific percentage of the changes that occur in the performance of the organization, and it turns out that the researched company adopts cybersecurity through its interest in (confidentiality, privacy, and enhancement) in its work.

The study recommended increasing attention to confidentiality and not exchanging secret password numbers for the electronic systems of their employees, and paying attention to the production plans for the organization’s operations because of their role in developing new services as they positively affect the efficiency of the organization.
