The University of Karbala conducts an experiment on extracting flavinoids from the peel of a citrus fruit

The Drugs and Medicinal Plants Laboratory at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Karbala conducted a practical experiment within the practical curriculum for the “Drugs” subject. The experiment in which the college targeted third-year students included extracting phenolic antioxidants from the peels of a citrus fruit (Numi black). This experience comes in the context of the university’s endeavor to train students to know the effect of the extraction method on this effectiveness, as well as learn the mechanism of isolating and separating the desired substances that are included in pharmaceutical preparations
