Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs Attends the First International Scientific Conference at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences
Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Haider Mohammed Orman, attended the First International Scientific Conference organized by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with Al-Hila University College and Al-Safwa University College, under the slogan:
“With Science and Knowledge We Rise, and for the Service of Sports We Unite.”
The conference, held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboody, and supervised by President of the University of Karbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, spanned over two days and featured the participation of more than 270 researchers from inside and outside Iraq, presenting a wide range of topics in the field of sports sciences.
In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, President of the University of Karbala, stated that the conference represents a valuable opportunity for exchanging ideas and experiences, as well as exploring avenues for cooperation to enhance the academic and athletic standards through joint work that serves society. He also praised the clear and visionary strategy of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, which aims to advance scientific progress through openness to the world and the adoption of international academic practices.
On his part, Governor of Karbala, Engineer Nassif Jassem Al-Khattab, expressed the governorate’s full support for the University of Karbala, commending its prominent role in serving the city and its people. He also highlighted the pride in having international students studying at the university, describing it as a testament to the university’s academic reputation and progress.
