The College of Nursing at the University of Karbala organized a workshop on the mechanism of obtaining program accreditation for Iraqi nursing colleges in order to achieve the requirements and standards of quality and the suitability of these programs to the needs of the labor market.The workshop aims to introduce the importance of program accreditation for nursing colleges and the basic steps related to obtaining program accreditation.The workshop targeted heads of academic branches, faculty members, and members of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division.The workshop axes included introducing how to prepare a self-assessment report and the importance of conducting awareness campaigns to introduce the concepts of program accreditation and quality assurance to teachers, staff, students and beneficiaries of stakeholders in the labor market.stakeholders in the labor market.The organizers recommended the need to form committees to take the first steps for approval and to define the roles of the committees to facilitate their tasks in achieving the set goals.
