The international academic evaluation team visited the University of Baghdad and discussed indicators of performance, quality and scientific research in light of the requirements of international classifications, especially the Times classification.
This came in the context of the field visit, follow-up and evaluation program conducted by the International Team for Academic Evaluation of Iraqi universities included in the Times classification and nominated to compete in it, where they discussed at the University of Baghdad the future of variables related to specialized knowledge and indicators of competition and the university’s entry into international rankings and what this path requires in terms of quality support. and updating academic programmes.
The international team reviewed with the President of the University of Baghdad, the deans of its faculties, and its specialists the organizational requirements for communicating with international universities and benefiting from their experiences and expertise in the field of building scientific and academic partnerships and adopting advanced educational patterns responsible for enhancing the ability to provide climates for the engagement of graduates in the labor market. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the steps achieved in the Iraqi higher education environment, which is witnessing positive changes, represented by the adoption of the Bologna course and the associated modernization of educational systems and programs in universities.The international academic evaluation team, which is currently visiting Iraq, includes Dr. Talal Youssef, Dean of Higher Education and Emerging Technologies in the Queensland Government and former Vice-Chancellor of the Australian Union University, Mr. Nick Davis, Head of the Times Classification for the Middle East and Africa, Dr. Steve Hall, Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology at the Australian University of Queensland, and Dr. Salih Jaafar Head of academy professor malaysia.
