With Wide Participation of Researchers from Various Countries… The College of Education for Pure Sciences Launches the Activities of Its Fifth International Conference”

The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Muhammad Imran, attended the activities of the Fifth International Conference, launched by the College of Education for Pure Sciences in cooperation with Al-Hilla University College and Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the supervision of the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid.

During his speech at the conference, the University President stated that hosting scientific conferences reflects the university’s commitment to advancing scientific research and knowledge. He pointed out that these international conferences represent important milestones in the university’s journey toward global recognition by providing dynamic platforms for exchanging the latest research findings and discussing contemporary challenges.

He added that the cooperation between the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Karbala and private universities embodies the Ministry’s vision of strengthening the higher education and scientific research system, and unifying efforts and resources to achieve sustainable development.

For his part, the Governor of Karbala, Engineer Nassif Jassem Al-Khattabi, explained that the university’s work aligns with Karbala’s 2030–2050 strategy, as a significant portion of its objectives are related to academic and research activities that meet the needs and vision of the province.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Karbala Provincial Council, Dr. Qasim Al-Yasari, appreciated the university’s role in organizing scientific conferences, which contribute to providing solutions for various problems and achieving sustainable development.

In the same context, the Dean of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Dr. Hameeda Aidan, stated that the conference witnessed broad participation from inside and outside Iraq. The scientific committee received 261 research papers, of which 134 were accepted after undergoing evaluation. She indicated that the research covers topics across various sciences, including life sciences, mathematics, chemistry, physics, and computer science.
